Job Description
PTS is looking for a Payroll Implementation Consultant to participate in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (discovery, configuration, testing, deployment, post-go-live support), under the direction of the Project Manager, and may lead one or more activities. Project responsibilities include; gathering customer requirements, configuring the Ceridian solution to meet documented customer requirements, setting and managing customer expectations, providing guidance to Associate Consultants, identifying risks, and communicating issues to the Project Manager. Implementation consultants work with the project manager to act as the expert on the program they are implementing.
Responsibilities
The Payroll Consultant is expected to complete the following activities with the client:
- Data Gathering for applicable Dayforce payroll elements
- Use Activate for configuration of applicable Dayforce payroll elements
- Complete manual configuration of applicable Dayforce payroll elements
- Complete unit testing of configuration validation for Dayforce payroll
- Complete task lists identified for the Payroll Consultant for all phases in Activate
- Conduct Day in the Life (DIL) testing and review sessions with the client
- Provide support on payroll balancing and issues review during Parallel
- Prepare for Go Live
- Support Post Go Live through 2 Payroll Commits (standard but may require additional)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in human capital management application consulting
- 2+ years of experience with implementing the Dayforce Payroll module
- Experience in business process mapping
- Experience in change management an asset
Technical Skills Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Experience with software in a SaaS / Cloud computing environment including experience with HRIS Systems
- Ability to effectively implement an HRIS module or similar end-to-end solution
- Understanding of common human capital management (HCM) business practices
