DEA Moves to Lower Restrictions on Medical Marijuana

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is moving to reclassify marijuana from Schedule I drug status—the same designation as heroin and LSD—to Schedule III, a classification shared by anabolic steroids and ketamine. It would recognize medical use of marijuana but would not make recreational use legal.
